buy 4 from 1 categorie and get product x free

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible that a customer buys 4 products from a category and then can get a different product for free if he likes. He should het only 1 at max.

I've been trying and searching without any luck so far.

Any tips would be highly apreciated.

Are all the products in that category with the same price ?
If yes, then you can create an auto loaded coupon restricted to that category with a minimum number of products of 5 and a flat discount price corresponding to the price of a product in that category. Upon checkout, if you have 5 products of that category, the coupon will be loaded automatically and you'll get the discount deduced from the total.

Unfortunately this is not the case. The products can be of a different price. And the free product comes from another categorie.

So what you need is not implemented at this time in HikaShop.
It will require a custom plugin, here is some documentation about how to make a plugin:

I presume this would apply to me as well. I have a coupon that has buy any 3 items and get the 4th free. All items have different prices however all items are in in category, if that helps! Thanks in advance!
