Discounts Affects Item Price in Manual Orders

This issue occurs when:

1. There is a discount with a custom access level
2. A manual order is created and an item is selected

The issue is that the discount is applied to unit item price even though the ID creating the order is not part of the custom viewing group.

The attached files shows how you can recreate the problem:

1. Screenshot below shows that there is only 1 discount sitewide (10% off for all items)


2. Screenshot below shows that the discount should only be applied to all users under the "Reseller" viewing group


3. Screenshot below shows that a manual order is created. Note that ProductID 1096 costs PHP 1,600.00.


4. Screenshot below shows that when an item is added to the order, the 10% discount is applied to the item.


Is there a workaround so that the discount with custom access will not affect item prices in manually created orders?

Hi,

The discounts are not filtered based on who is logged in the backend (since you have access to everything anyway in the backend), but based on the customer assigned to the order.
So before selected a product, you need to select the customer of the order. Once done, when you add a product to the order, it will use the user groups of that user to determine which discounts can be applied to the price of the product.
