Discount for members

We have a membership system - Membership Pro and different levels of customer - how do we assign a discount for a particular user group - we purchased business version - and also have product restrictions which is working well

add the price input field in product form, you can set many pricing according to member usergroup

Thats OK but a lot of work creating a price for each product - we would rather be able to allocate a discount to a usergroup - I would have thought this would have been an important feature - eg user signs up for a membership gets allocated to joomla user group - user group has standard % discount across all products?

You can create discounts via the menu Orders>Discounts. There, on the discount creation/edition form you'll have an "access level" setting which allows you to restrict the discount to only some user groups. And the discount can be configured to be across all products or only some.
