product bundles

We need to bundle products into special "Sales Packs". I want to define them as Bundle SKU's that have multiple SKUs in them and I want the bundle to decrement the inventory of the products correctly

Can you do bundles. If so how, If not, when?
We build the whole site and we don't want to change cart just because you can't do bundles.

HERE IS THE DETAILED INFO:
We are a company that sells supplements for detox for mercury.
We are very happy with Hika so far because we use the "User Select" feature to sell cases as groups of dozens.
So selling 1, 2, 3 is working well
Also, selling 12, 24, 36, 48 (dozens) of something is working well.

Now we want to sell a Product called THE DETOX QUBE
This is a kinda like a DETOX STARTER KIT
and it contains the following:

6 units of Product called Glutathione
6 units of Product called Vitamin C/RL
2 units of Product called Cofactor 120
1 units of Product called IMD 9g
1 unit of virtual product called DETOX PROTOCOL

The Combine in a nice box and is sold as the DETOX QUBE.
This is our best seller.

We need an Bundle SKU called DETOX QUBE that when sold decrements inventory for each
product in the Bundle correctly.

I have seen discussion about HikaShop offering Bundles from 3 years ago. It must be done already as
it is such an important feature. We don't want to dump Hika just because it can't do bundles.

Hi,

We currently do not have bundle feature but we found a solution to implement it.
In HikaShop, we have the table "product related" which allow to link two products.
This table is also used for the product options.

My idea is to use the "product options" feature with a little modification, a new kind of relation (bundle) but with also a new column in the database, a column for the quantity.
So creating a bundle will be the same than having product options (in "group option" mode) but with a quantity factor.
The idea of the bundle will be to not use the price of the "bundle products" but only the price of the main product.

It requires modifications in HikaShop (in the core classes and also in the views) ; so for sure, some time to test/validate it but it is a feature that can be implemented in the future yes.
I want to say that HikaShop is "ready" for this feature.

This feature (creating a discount bundle from individual products) is an indispensable sales tool, especially for companies selling downloadable items. I hope it will be implemented in the near future!

We would also like product bundles.

We have several clients with a need very similar to the person who posted the request originally, ie:

Individual product a, b c.
A 'pack' that contains product a and b and c.

Options won't really work because they get whole pack as a bundle, not as a pick-n-mix.

You could potentially create a special product, and thanks to a plugin (to create) you could replace that added product by the products a,b and c in the cart. And if the customer remove one of these products of the cart, the plugin will have to remove all the three products, etc.

So for the moment, this features is not available by default, it will require custom code.

Hi,

I started the implementation of "product bundle" in "HikaShop 3".
But I am not able to give any advanced schedule ; I hope that we will be able to finish that feature for the release but if it is "too short", we could delayed it (or provide a partial feature).
The major problem in the current implementation is that it requires a special interface in order to add products and set a quantity for the bundle ; so we cannot use a "namebox" like we did for the "options" or the "related products" for example.

I created a product Cola and a product Statiegeld (Deposit). I tried to bundle both product in this product:

but the both products aren't bundled. Do I have to configure something somewhere else?

No, there is nothing to do.
It's automatic. The bundled products' quantity will be updated automatically when the order is created/confirmed after the purchase of that product.
If it doesn't work, it means that you have an issue with the order status not changing, or the order status settings.
But in that case, you should have the same issue for other, non bundled products' quantity update.

So it´s only the quantity what´s updated?

I want to add deposit to a product and thought it would be possible with bundled products. Is that possible?

Create a product. And create a characteristic called STATIEGELD. Add that characteristic to the product as a variant (the description of the variant can be MET STATIEGELD because that name is displayed in the cart) )and make the price of that variant the price of the product plus statiegeld. Therefor the statiegeld is allways selected resulting in buying the product with statiegeld.

Because it is a variant it has a unique product code so you can see how much statiegeld variants are sold.....

So that's what we did.

I don't see why a bundle feature would help regarding the handling of deposits ?

I want to use 'option' for deposit.

Now the 'no' is default, can I make the 'yes' as default or better as mandatory option?

Sure. Create a characteristic with two values (no/yes for example), and add that characteristic to your option product. Then, add the variants for both under the "variants" tab of your option product and select the default one you want.
