I must say you're the first one talking about this, so we don't have plans for that.
An easy solution with what's already available would be to either use a view override of product / waitlist via the menu Display>Views to display some message with a link for the signup, or even directly display the newsletter signup module with a modules anywhere tag (
regularlabs.com/modulesanywhere
) on the waitlist page.
