Wishlist button on Hikaauction

Hello, I have thoroughly read all instructions to have the wishlist button available on Hikashop products and also read that Hikaauction does not have its own separate wishlist system; instead, it uses the core HikaShop wishlist functionality.

I have the wishlist button on hikashop products, however I cannot manage to have the wishlist button available on the auction page.

Can anyone please help somehow?

Hi,

The wishlist mechanism in HikaShop is meant to be used for wedding gift lists, baby showers, etc.
So normally, auctions should not need that capability and it is normal you don't see the "add to wishlist" button on an auction product.

I'm thinking you might actually want to use the "like" mechanism here:

This will work with both normal products and auction products.

Oh I see, thank you Nicolas, that's more or less what I need. Can it be used as a watchlist then.. so that the customer is notified when someone is placing another bid or make a comment about that particular auction?

Hi,

There is no mechanism for that. If the user places a bid, he will be notified of new bids automatically.
But the like plugin will only allow him to get a listing of his liked products / auctions.
And there's not notification mechanism for comments. That would require the development of a custom plugin for this.
