Different variables/placeholder

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing regarding a specific behavior in HikaAuction when the "Hide bid amounts in history" option is set to "Yes."
Currently, the placeholder text displayed for hidden amounts is identical to the text used for the bid button.

There should be two distinct variables for these locations to differentiate the text appropriately.

For instance, we could maintain "Place Max Bid" for the bidding button (as shown in attachment 1), while using a different term such as "Hidden Bid" within the amount column of the bid history (as shown in attachment 2).

Could you please let me know if it is possible?

Thank you for reporting this. You're right, using the same "Bid" text for both the button and the hidden amounts in the history is confusing.

We've added a dedicated "Hidden bid" translation key in the upcoming HikaAuction 6.0.0 release so that hidden bid amounts in the auction history now display "Hidden bid" instead of "Bid". This applies both to the page display and to the live AJAX updates.

Since it's a separate translation key, you'll also be able to customize it to any text you prefer via the language file overrides.

Currently, auctioneers have to scroll back up to the top of the page to verify the current maximum bid amount

would it be possible to display the current maximum bid alongside (or right under) the 'hidden bid' text somehow please?

Thank you for your feedback.

As mentioned in the previous reply, the "Hidden bid" text fix is already done for 6.0.0.

Regarding seeing the current maximum bid while browsing the auction history, we've added a sticky auction panel in HikaAuction 6.0.0: the right-side panel with the countdown timer, current price, bid count, and bid buttons now stays fixed at the top right of the page when you scroll down. This way, you always have the key auction information visible while browsing the bid history or any other content below, without needing to scroll back to the top.
