[JOB OFFER] Custom Paymob Payment Plugin Development HikaShop (Multi-Currency)

Hi everyone,

We are planning a new project and want to verify the feasibility of integrating Paymob before setting up the site. Once confirmed, we will install the latest available versions of Joomla and HikaShop.

We are looking for an experienced Joomla / HikaShop developer to build a custom payment gateway plugin for HikaShop to integrate with Paymob (Accept/Intention API).

Project Details & Setup:
- CMS & Component: Latest stable Joomla (5/6) with the latest HikaShop version (to be installed upon plugin confirmation).
- Supported Currencies: Multi-currency setup required (EGP, EUR, USD).
- Payment Gateway: Paymob (Egypt/MENA Region).

Core Functionality Required:
1. Payment Initiation & Multi-Currency: Send order total, selected currency (EGP, EUR, USD), customer billing details, and order ID to Paymob via their Intention API / Standard Redirect. Ensure correct currency conversion or dynamic currency passing as supported by Paymob.
2. Redirect / Hosted Checkout: Seamlessly redirect the customer to the secure Paymob hosted checkout page.
3. Webhook / Callback Handling (IPN): Securely receive asynchronous callbacks (HMAC verification) from Paymob after payment completion.
4. Order Status Update: Automatically update the HikaShop order status from "Created/Pending" to "Confirmed/Paid" upon successful transaction (or "Cancelled/Failed" if rejected).
5. Code Standards: Must follow official HikaShop Payment Plugin architecture (plg_hikashoppayment) to remain update-safe for future releases.

A Paymob integration with HikaShop is feasible. Paymob's current Intention API with its hosted Unified Checkout page fits HikaShop's payment plugin system: the order is created in HikaShop, the customer is redirected to Paymob's secure page, and Paymob's server callback (verified with the HMAC secret) confirms or cancels the order automatically.

There is no Paymob plugin for HikaShop at the moment, and we are looking into building one ourselves.

About the currencies: with Paymob, each integration ID works in a single currency, and the currency sent with a payment must be the currency of the integration ID. So to accept EGP, EUR and USD, your Paymob account needs an integration ID in each of these currencies. Only Paymob can enable them, so please ask them whether your account can have USD and EUR integration IDs, and in which currency they settle the payments. On the HikaShop side nothing special is needed: a payment method can be created once per currency and restricted to that currency, so each customer is sent to Paymob with the integration ID matching the currency they shop in.

Once your Paymob account exists, test-mode keys (secret key, public key, HMAC secret and the test integration IDs for each currency) are what is needed to test the integration.
