Hika subscription for selling Joomla extensions

It requires some custom development but the core of HikaSubscription will simplify several things such as the storage of extra elements in a subscription (like the domain) and various triggers regarding the download of files, etc.

Many Joomla components do have their system for the management of their licences.
One goal of HIkaSubscription was to have a new system for the HikaShop licenses ; the development of the component has been made in that way and purpose.
I don't understand why you wrote that plugin is too small for custom development.

If you're selling a plugin, you can use a regular HikaShop store or use HikaSubscription if you want a renewal system (and use the subscription download system).
You might not have the domain control at the beginning but that's something which can be add in the future if you want to improve the system. And maybe, we would provide more plugins in HikaSubscription like something close to our licencing system.

I'm sorry ; Since HikaShop or HikaSubscription requires a logged user to authorize a download, the Joomla update system won't be able to perform a download.
Thus, it would require a custom plugin to override the download system, read a token from the URL and then authorize the download.
