Stripe - Requirement for Strong Customer Authentication

what does this means for me as customer from hikashop?
i want to use the stripe payment plugin to handle credit card transactions and in the next step i want also integrate over stripe "amazon pay".
does the new plugin cover this?
sorry to ask this, but i'm not a programmer and most of this previews posts i do not understand where the problem really is about.

But in these sources, there is no "Amazon Pay".

Yes, we are working on the new version and we want to make it work with the new features of HikaShop 4 regarding the payment in the checkout.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide an ETA since it's a lot of research on parts which are not documented in the Stripe website.

we are also looking for a working plugin for Stripe and several hikashop installations. Therefore, we follow your development very interested. Is it foreseeable that you will be able to handle your module and the SCA support on time (Sep. 2019)? Is there then the possibility in your plugin to integrate Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. via stripe?

I worked on the plugin development yesterday and I have new tests planned regarding the payment intent and its time limitations.
My goal is to release the plugin during the summer, I want to do it in July.
Once the payment intent will be available fully in the plugin, it will be easier to add the "Payment request buttons" which are the way to have the Apple/Google Pay buttons.

The integration with the Payment Intent is mostly done but there are a lot of things that we need to test, for the integration with Connect but not only.
The Stripe documentation regarding the Payment intent is unfortunately, missing a lot of points and details ; things which are a real requirement for a full e-commerce solution. So it requires a lot of time because we need to perform these investigation by ourselves.

In the case that we can't finish the integration between Connect and Payment Intent, we will release a plugin which will use a specific mode when using HIkaMarket and vendors. So we will be sure that the plugin will work but it will provide a different experience than we designed for the new version of the plugin.

My clients are now getting very regular email messages from Stripe concerning the non-compliance of Hikashop's Stripe Payment Gateway. This development seems to have been going on for months. For those of your customers that chose Stripe based on it's merits and the availability of a Hikashop payment gateway this situation is unacceptable. We are now 1 month away from the time that transactions may be declined for non-SCA compliance and still no fix in place.

I'm going to ask again:-

1. When? We need a release date urgently.
2. Where? Where will it be available from - Hikashop or some other third party?
3. Cost? This was of course originally included in the Hikashop subscription, it should be free, but if not how much?

Need answers and a commitment please.

I don't want to confuse anyone or anything but this thread was originally referring to the paid-for Stripe Payment Plugin by Obsidev. Is this still what we're talking about?

So, 'where' will it be available? Right here from the Marketplace, 'cost' is hopefully still 40 euros.

As for 'when', as with other plugins, would I be right in thinking that if I bought it now I would get an update when there are changes?

L, No - the original post referred to the Stripe payment gateway included in the Hikashop subscription. At some point it was suggested that the gateway would no longer be provided as part of the subscription and it would need to be purchased from Obsidev. It appears that Hikashop and Obsdev are the same business though and the development is being done by the same people that make Hikashop. I'm completely confused but have given up trying to understand the way these guys work.

Anyway, all I want for my clients is a working SCA compliant Stripe gateway. Purchasing it now, when it's not ready is NOT a solution in my book. My 3 questions remain, with number 1 being the most important:-

1. When? We need a release date urgently.

Is it true that the Stripe Connect plugin (€40) is NOT compliant with SCA either?

So I would like to add to the questions about when an updated plugin will be available, where we can purchase it, and how much it will be.
