ePay.bg

This plugin adds ePay.bg to your HikaShop store, the payment system most Bulgarian shoppers already have an account with. Your customers pay from their ePay.bg account, with a bank card, in cash at an EasyPay counter or at an ATM, and your orders are confirmed automatically when ePay.bg tells your shop the payment was made.

• From their ePay.bg account: the customer signs in on the ePay.bg page and confirms the payment with the card or the account registered there. The ePay.bg page also lets them switch to the other ways of paying.
• With a bank card: the customer types the card details on the page hosted by ePay.bg, so no card number ever reaches your site.
• In cash at an EasyPay counter: your shop shows the customer a 10 digit payment code, which they give at any EasyPay office to pay for the order.
• At an ATM: the same 10 digit code is accepted at an ATM, through the B-Pay menu.

Create one payment method per way of paying if you want the customer to choose on your own checkout, or a single one that sends everybody to the ePay.bg page.

A payment at an EasyPay counter or at an ATM is not made when the order is placed: the customer leaves your shop with a payment code and pays later, sometimes several days later. The order stays in the pending status you choose until ePay.bg tells your shop the money has been paid, and only then is it confirmed. The same is true of a customer who leaves the ePay.bg page without paying: the request waits until they come back, or until it expires. You choose how long that is, and which status an order that was never paid ends in.

• Pending: the payment request is registered with ePay.bg and the customer has not paid yet.
• Paid: ePay.bg confirmed the payment. The transaction number and the authorisation code are kept with the order.
• Refused: the customer declined the payment on ePay.bg.
• Expired: the delay ran out and the customer never paid. It is a separate status, because nothing failed, the customer simply did not pay.

ePay.bg accepts the lev, the euro and the dollar. The plugin sends the currency of the order as it is, so a shop selling in euro since Bulgaria joined the euro is charged in euro, with no conversion of your own.

• Every payment request is signed with your secret word, and every notification from ePay.bg is checked against it before an order is touched.
• ePay.bg repeats a notification until your shop answers it, for up to fourteen days. A notification which arrives twice confirms the order once.
• ePay.bg can send several invoices in one notification, and each one is answered separately.
• The amount ePay.bg reports is compared with the total of the order before it is confirmed.
• Everything that happens is written in the history of the order, and a debug mode records the exchanges with ePay.bg in the payment log.

ePay.bg runs a free demo system with its own merchant account, which anyone can register for. Set the plugin to the demo system, place an order, pay it as the demo customer, and see your order confirmed before you sign anything.

• 1) Register as a merchant on ePay.bg and ask them for the notification address of your shop to be set.
• 2) Download the plugin from our website.
• 3) Install it via the Joomla Extension Manager, or via the "Install plugin" button of System > Plugins on WordPress.
• 4) Go to HikaShop > Payment methods and create an ePay.bg payment method.
• 5) Enter your customer number and your secret word, and give ePay.bg the notification address displayed in the settings of the method.

• Customer number (KIN) and secret word: what identifies your shop to ePay.bg and signs its requests.
• Merchant email: your email on ePay.bg, sent with the request.
• Environment: the demo system while you test, the real one once you have a contract.
• Payment page: ePay.bg account, bank card, EasyPay counter or ATM.
• Payment delay in hours: how long the customer has to pay before ePay.bg marks the request as expired.
• Invoice number offset: added to the order number, for a shop reusing an ePay.bg account which already carries invoice numbers.
• Language of the ePay.bg page: the language of the customer, Bulgarian or English.
• Pending, paid, refused and expired statuses: the status of the order at each step.
• Debug: writes what is sent and what comes back in the payment log.

ePay.bg is a Bulgarian payment system, for shops with an ePay.bg merchant contract. Its customers are in Bulgaria, and EasyPay counters and ATM payments are available there.
