I used the joomla recaptcha plugin but was not able to set it for the product contact, so I tried to install the hikashop custom plugin (I use the same keys) and nothin appears.

Hi,

The Recaptcha plugin we provide indeed supports HikaShop contact form.
It's probably an issue with how you setup the plugin. Could you provide a screenshot of the settings of the plugin ?

Hi,

I'm not able to reproduce the problem on my end.
Also, I don't see the captcha from the HikaShop recaptcha plugin on your Joomla registration form, only the one from Joomla, even though you also activated that option in the plugin.
So this leaves me with 3 causes I can think of:
- the plugin is disabled
- the plugin's access is not public
- the keys in the plugin are wrong
Could you please double check ?

I verified your suggestions and tested again but it is still not working.

We did get your message with the access.
However, the backend access requires a htaccess authentication and you didn't provide the information for that so we were not able to check your settings so I can't say much more for now.

Hi,

The problem was not that the access you provided couldn't access the backend. The problem was that before accessing the login form of the backend, there is a htaccess authentication and you didn't provide the access for it:

Hi,

I was able to access your backend now. However, I'm still not able to test anything.
Note that the Captcha will only display if you're not logged in. If you're logged in, we suppose that you already registered and already went through the captcha check at that time. So the captcha won't display.
However, to access your frontend, a login is required as the website is in maintenance. And the backend access doesn't allow me to access your website configuration to deactivate the maintenance.
So in short, it's normal that I don't see the Captcha on the contact form on your test website, even with the plugin enabled and properly configured, and I can't access the registration page either since I'm already logged in.

Also, note that in order to check the different settings, I will have to access your Joomla configuration, the user manager settings, etc.
It would be great if you could make a super admin access and put a htaccess authentication on the whole backend AND frontend with strong passwords so that we can review the situation properly.

Hi,

I was finally able to access your test website with the htaccess authentication.
And actually, when I accessed the contact page of a product there, I did see the ReCaptcha from the plugin there:

As the erreur message says, the secret / public keys you entered in the plugin are not valid for the URL of your copy of the website.
So you would have to update these in the settings of the plugin.
But appart from that, it seems to be working fine. Please double check.

I know that the key is not enabled for the prod website but it's ok like that for test purposes.

The problem I reported is on the "Contact us page" => 2nainsdev.sauvainr.ch/nous-contacter
On this page the captcha legend is displayed twice and the captcha is not displayed at all.

On the account creation and on the product contact it is fine.

Ah ok, I thought that the issue was with the HikaShop contact form.
Indeed I was able to see the issue on that page and the found the bug and added a patch for it.
It's now working on that page.
I've also added the patch on our end in the zip available on the page:

So for anyone with the issue on their website, they can just download again the install package there and install it again on their website and it will work.

Sorry to come back to you, but I noticed that the captcha is not displayed on the "forgot password" nor on the "forgot login" pages. Is there any special setting to be set?

Hi,

There is no setting for that. These pages are not supported by the plugin.
Triggers from Joomla to be able to support these pages via a plugin are not available as far as I know.
