Hi,

The issue is probably that you configured a menu item in the option "force a menu on the checkout" of the HikaShop configuration, and that you configured the "access" option of that menu item (when you edit it via the menu manager) to be "registered".
Thus, when someone not logged in clicks on the button to access the checkout, Joomla tells him to first login as you configured the menu of the checkout so that it does that.

Hi,

So at this moment the best will be to create a special menu just for your checkout.
Regarding your website, the link of the cart is " /en/historie-objednavek/checkout "

When HikaShop create a link to the checkout, it looks for the first available HikaShop menu ; and I guess that the menu it founds is not the perfect one.
So if you create yourself a good menu and force it for the checkout ; it will work better.

Hello,

I have been around this for four days now and am about to go crazy.

My shop sells only donwloadable goods.

Many of my customers are not registered but, as mentioned before in a previous post, they must be in order to be possible to control the access to the files.

Therefore, I need to configure the checkout process in a way that allows a guest to buy something even if he doesn't have an account and have the account created automatically created for him.

I also need to have the customer address so I can configure VAT correctly.

This is how my checkput configuration looks like:

But in the checkout page, no address is asked and no registration/login processed:

So, orders are being created and displayed in the backend without the customer's name or email!

And no matter what changes I make in the configuration, nothing changes!

Hi,

That's apparently because you removed the "login"/"address" views from your checkout workflow, or you're already logged on your website, and thus the simplified registration form (with the address fields) for new customers is not being displayed.
Log out from your website, or add the "login"/"address" views back in the checkout workflow setting of the hikaShop configuration and you'll be able to enter an address and your email address.

Hi,

I removed the login/address view because I want to have guest registration.
That is, unregistered users being able to buy the products and the Joomla account being generated automatically using their email.
The address is always necessary in the checkout process though for VAT reasons.

But this isn't possible, or is it?

Hi,

If you want a guest checkout, you have to activate the guest checkout in your configuration (not the simplified registration) and put the "login" and "address" in your checkout workflow.
Otherwise you won't have a guest checkout ; you will have a checkout with no user attached, so with nobody to contact, no address to send..

Hi,

In recent version of HikaShop Business there is a "switcher" to let the customer choose between the "guest" and the registration.
Please note that the "guest checkout" is a feature provided by commercial editions of HikaShop.

Hi Nicolas
I am having a similar problem. I want to enable a simple guest login.
I am using Hika 2.6.3 and Joomla 3.6.5
Please advise how this is done as there doesn't appear to be an option under Configuration > Checkout

Hi,

All the settings to configure a guest checkout are under the Checkout tab of the HikaShop configuration, even in the 2.6.3.
You have the "Registration" setting, where you can select "guest".
And you have the "display method for registration" where you can select "switcher" so that you can have both "registration" and "guest" selected in the "Registration" setting.

If you don't see these options in the Checkout tab, please provide a screenshot of what you see there.
