That's the plugin we've been using all along. If you look back in this thread you'll see you said that was the one that you patched.

Hello,

The Paypal Pro version that I gave you is a new version that will probably be released through the next Hikashop version.
Can you install it on your website and test it, so that we can know if it correctly fixed your issue ?

Hi,

If you activate the debug setting of your payment method, you'll see that you get this error:

And if you search for that error message online, you'll find this:
stackoverflow.com/questions/23358683/pay...-header-is-not-valid
Which explains that this error is returned by PayPal when the credentials you provided in your payment method are incorrect.
So you'll have to check with the support of PayPal your credentials as something must be wrong with them.

Alas, this issue has started again. I have reinstalled the plugin you attached to one of your previous posts (I assume that's done through the main Joomla install - couldn't find any way via HS) and we'll see what happens.

however, I don't remember doing an update to HS on or after May 30 2017 (the date the last successful CC email was sent) so this is a huge worry for me and my client. I cannot understand how it was working then suddenly stopped.

Hi,

There is no reason that the issue would change if you didn't change anything in HikaShop.
So updating the plugin likely won't help.
The issue must be elsewhere: Either in the parameters of the plugin or the settings of the PayPal account or a change PayPal made.

So am I right in that emails are not sent until a reply is received from PayPal that the transaction is complete? I ask as suddenly no emails are being sent, so I am assuming that there's a return of some sort from PP that triggers the emails to the client and admin.

Hi,

That's right.
If you don't get the notification emails for the order, check that the status of the orders are changed from "created" to "confirmed" after the payment.
If yes, then the problem is an email sending one. In that case, check the Customers>Email history menu for the emails. If you see them there, ask your hosting what happened to them with screenshots of the details of the emails there. They should be able to tell you what's wrong.
If not, then the problem is a payment notification not received. And in that case, we have a documentation to guide you in finding the issue:

It's started again.... For no reason emails are not being sent for credit card orders. There was an order on 10/26/17 that behaved correctly. Subsequently, there have been 3 CC orders which have not sent emails, but are showing as Confirmed. PayPal orders are sending emails correctly.

The only 2 I, personally, can't answer to, is:

The option "allow payment notifications from paypal" of the PayPal is turned off. You should turn it on.
You changed the IPs in the PayPal IPs option of the PayPal plugin. (assuming you mean the 3 credentials by this).

I am asking the client to confirm these are still correct. I have also turned on Debug to see if that yields any further info. The strange thing is:

It was working till a few days ago (October 26) and I certainly haven't altered anything)
The payment plugin is set to set Verified Status to "Confirmed" which all 3 missing orders are showing in HS. That would seem to indicate that PayPal successfully transmitted verification of payment received.
