Creating a Skills Market Place

Hi,

I have been using Hikashop for years and it is amazing, I now have a client that wants a website where people within their company can have a page where they can advertise their skills to the rest of the company.

Will it be possible to build something like Fiverr using HikaMarket Multi vendor?

Vendors can edit their description, add an image, have custom fields, etc..
So in a way it can be used for such kind of content edition but the main goal of HikaMarket is to let vendors sell their products in your store.

Thus, I suppose that you can achieve your goal ; maybe not the simple way since it will package a lot of front-end store edition features that I'm not sure you need.

Please see the attached screen grab from Fiverr, based on this could you give some clarity on the following.

1. Can vendors create a thumbnail image for their profile
2. Can a short desciption be displayed under the thumbnail
3. Can a rating for that vendor be displayed.
4. Can a vendor add multiple images, or possibly even video to their profile page in a similar way that images are displayed on product pages.

In short is it possible for a vendor to create a page, simular to Fiverr. I am aware that I most likely will need to modify display views to get it working correctly.
Sorry for all the questions but since I can't test the plugin on my site before purchasing it I am left with only your demo site which makes it a bit diffficuilt.

HikaMarket is designed to be a marketplace ; the vendor pages don't have multiple images or videos (by default).
As I previously wrote; you can use custom fields and develop your own features ; but it's a modification of the common usage of an application with a different goal.

Please note that, like HikaShop, HikaMarket proposes a 30 days money back.

Thanks for the assistance thus far, I will probably just buy HikaMarket and then test it as suggested.

One last question, is it possible to filter vendors based on the products or product categories that they sell in?
For example if the site has 100 vendors, can I apply a filter to only display vendors that sell cars, or vendors who sell shoes and so on.

Basically I want to be able to search car or website or CSS and it must give me all vendors that offer that product or service.

Ok, so your vendors are selling products!

HikaMarket vendor listing has no link with the vendors' products ; so such kind of filter would requires a custom plugin (because it would be too specific).
The other solution is, one again, to use custom fields ; like a dropdown multi-value where you (or your vendor) select the types of products so it can be used more easily as a filter.

Yes u cam u can also edit vendor pages to work as a shop the vendor owns as in they ,manage there own categories etc yet still be included in global searches

I have it set as sitewide global categories that vendors van list in then they have there own categories they list in also

All you listed above is included as default except multiple images or video but that is easy to add with custom fields implemented into registration and vender edit.

This can then be outputted direct As image or use something like dj mediatools to output as a slideshow or gallery
