Upcoming Hikashop

We are currently enjoying using hikashop I am just curious what some of the new features will be in the upcoming version.

Will there be the option to choose via a popup which characteristic combination you want without automatically creating all combinations?

We hope to have a badges system, wishlists, new payment/shipping plugins, cart management, advanced statistics and improvements here and there.
Not everything might get into it as we are still developing some of them and in that case it would go into the next one.

The characteristics system will now allow you to add the characteristics one by one so that you can enter the price for each variant and when you add the second characteristic, if will regenerate the variants based on the existing ones so that you don't have to do the procedure of deleting the variants and re adding the characteristics at the same time anymore.
Variants will still be required for characteristics. The characteristics system hasn't been designed to be used without variants. You will have to use custom fields or options if you don't want combinations for some or all the attributes of a product.
