Calendar Date Selection

What is the simplest way to get a calendar working with shopping cart? I am wanting to use the shopping cart for a bike rental shop. The customer will need to see a calendar with availability dates. Can I easily integrate a calendar to the checkout process?

You mean, like a booking system where the product quantity depends on the date ?
If so ; that is not possible with HikaShop but it will be the main goal of "HikaBooking".
We planned to create that component but the project hasn't start yet because we already have big development in progress.

If you do not need a quantity/available by date ; you can use the "advanced date picker" with an "item custom field" (available in HikaShop Business).
In that case, the customer can choose a date when he add the product in his cart.
And thanks to the advanced date picker (an HikaShop plugin to publish) you can forbidden some week days or some ranges of dates.

Date selection is possible in HikaShop since a while back.
We've also developed a booking plugin for HikaShop which allows for this and it has just been released:
