Paypal Client Secret and Merchant ID

I'm a little confused.

I'm setting up the Paypal Checkout plugin. I put the Paypal email in the "Client ID" box. Is that not sufficient? Or do I need the Paypal Client Secret and Merchant ID and if so where do I find them?

It looks like you would only need this if you have a Business Account. Am I correct?

You really need to enter a client ID and a client secret, and not your email address.
