Custom field accordign to the product in a category

I'll make it simple
I am selling 2 Tshirt
One available in black and white, so i create the black and white custom field, assign to the category Tshirt
But I have another tshirt only available in pink and green, also in the Tshirt category , so how do i assign the custom field green/pink
You work the other way as most of the cart, meaning, a product has always the same custom field assign , accrfing to the category
I need in my product detail to assign the required custom field
thanks

Hi,

I think you want to use characteristics, not custom fields for what you want to do.
Here is an example:
demo.hikashop.com/index.php/en/hikashop/...with-characteristics

Here is some documentation on that:
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...html#characteristics
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/2...isplay-by-color.html

Thanks for your anser
it is just horibly complicated for my basic marketplace , nobody will figure out how to use it

Hi,

I don't understand what you mean. Aren't you the only one doing it ? Or you mean you have a multivendor shop with vendors creating products for themselves ? In that case, once you precreate the color characteristic in the backend, vendors just have to select that characteristic and add the variants they need in their products when creating them on the frontend.
