Characteristics

Hi,

I wonder.....
I have a product and I want to add characterics to it.
One is no problem but I´ll try to make it clear what I want:

I have a product and you can buy it in 2 different size, 30x30cm and 40x40cm
Then you can choos if the product is in a frame or not
Then you can choose the color of the frame
And at last, do you want a frame with or without passe partout

All options do have a different price.
Is it possible to do this?

I did what I had to do to make it work.... I thing
But when I go to the front-end and add my product to the cart, it sayed I reached the limit and can't add it to my cart....
When I go to my cart, I see the product and the price but without the extra option. (see screenshot)
Is ther something I forgot to set?

Hi,

This indicates that either:
- the quantity you set in the main product of the option or the variants of the option is not enough (so it would be 0 ?)
- your created limits in the Products>Limits menu and one of them prevents you from purchasing the product used as option.

I played arround with the limits, no succes.
I noticed, when I unpublish the options, the product can be ordered.
It is hard to find out how it works on the links given by you.

All products incl options are set to Unlimited and whatever I do, nothing happens

And could you provide a screenshot of the settings of your option product ?

Ok. If you didn't configure any limit, then there must be an issue with the settings of the option product.
Could you also provide a screenshot of what you have under the "variants" tab of your option product ?

However, without the FTP access I couldn't do any debugging so I can't say much more.

Thanks. I found the issue.
I had forgotten to check the setting "Maximum number of items in the cart" in your HikaShop configuration.
You set that to 1 so it's not possible to have both a main product and an option product at the same time in the cart and that's why the add to cart is being refused.

How stupid can I be!
Originally we only had unique paintings of which there was only 1.
Now we have digital art and multiple products can be sold from it.
