All variants under one product discount according to amount

Hello,
I have a bunch of variants under one product using different sizes. Depending on quantity they all get discounted in price, the more of the product you order. However the variants are treated like individual products.

I have it setup so if you order more than 11 you get a discount however if you order 10 of one size and 3 of a other size for the same product, it doesn't discount. It only discounts if you order 11 or more of the same size.

Is there away of grouping all the variants together under the one product and applying the price discounts to them all, rather than individually.


If there isn't away of doing it that way, is there some way of doing it at the cart stage using a discount code/coupon or something.

Hi,

If you set the prices in each variant, then the price quantity restriction will apply per variant.
But if you set the prices in the main product only, then the price quantity restriction will apply for all the variants of the product.

Could you still do it that way if I need the different prices for each variant. But also want the quantity amount only on the main product not the variants?

There is no option for that.
That would require modifying the algorithms in the getFullCart function of the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/classes/cart.php to calculate that differently.

Okay thanks. Do you know the correct php alterations for this? Or is it alot more difficult than that.

I dont' know the correct modifications to do for that. It would require some debugging and developing to know exactly what to change where. I guess a few hours would be necessary to find what to do exactly and properly test a working solution.
