custom field in checkout

hi all, On the checkout page for the gift cards I sell, I created a custom field (table 'order' - field type 'text') to enter the name of the person receiving the gift card. But even if the customer fills out this field, I can't see it anywhere. What did I do wrong? How and where can I see these filled-in fields?

Edit the settings of the custom field via the Display>Custom fields menu. There, you'll find many display settings to configure where the field value will be displayed. If they are all turned off, you won't see the value anywhere:
