Shipping is not always applied

Shipping is not always applied was created by colingchong
I am having problems with making the shipping amount consistently applied to a order. Sometimes it is and sometimes it is not. There does not seem to be a rhyme or reason to it. :(
I have attached a image file showing the manual shipping methods I have setup.

If your order weights between 1kg and 1.5 kg and that the total is below 46 CAD, you won't see an shipping method available because you don't have any shipping method for such case as well as other cases.

The shipping methods restrictions need to be all matched in order to be displayed. If you have an order between 1kg and 1.5 kg and that the total is below 46 CAD, the first shipping method won't match because the weight is too high and the second won't match because the price is too low.

Sorry, I am still having problems with the shipping. I have attached the shipping methods that I am currently using which is just price dependent. Sometimes the shipping cost will be applied but often not. I remove all the items from the cart and start again with still the same result.

Thanks

Colin

Did you set a weight for all your products ? If the product doesn't have a weight, hikashop won't consider it as shippable and won't display the shipping methods.

Yes, all products have a weight except those that are digital downloads.

Then, could you give a link to a product for which it doesn't work so that we can reproduce the problem on your website ?

Try this DVD, you will need to register on the site to go through to the shipping process. It may work for you on the first go through but try deleting the product and then re-selecting it a couple of times

Mmm. I'm out of ideas. Could you give an access to your back end so that we can check your settings ?

The shipping methods do not appear because hikashop do not detect any weight in your products. However, I can see that you set the weight to 0.500
I suppose that the problem comes from the fact that you set the weight with a different weight unit before and that you removed that weight unit afterwards. However, the products still have that weight unit registered in them. So you will have to save once your products so that the KG unit is taken into account.

I did that with the first two products "Spirit of Individualism - Winston Valladares" and "Abomination of Pride - part 1&2 - Kaz Wisniewski" and that has solved the problem.

Ahha! I see the problem now. I am using a csv file to import my products and had set the weight unit to "KG" but Hikashop is configured to use "kg". On import it defaults to kg but is not happy with it so probably registers it as zero weight. I changed the weight symbol to kg in the csv file and re-imported and all is well.

Thanks for your help!

Really nice component :)

Lord Bless
