Is it possible have rules for characteristics / option of an product?

What if for example size S is only available in one color, is there a way to exclude the other colors so that they can not be selected by the client?

In my case it is a photografy, the client can choose if he wants the photo printed on paper in several sizes, with the option plasticized, or download it in digital format. If the client chooses to download it the sizes and plasticization are irrelevant and can confuse the client.
