STATE not showing in Address Information popup

I feel like an idiot. I see some other threads here on this that seems to be related to a javascript error, but I am at a loss as to how to find out where the javascript error is.

the hikashop is part of the Become a Member page

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

To solve this problem, you probably have to publish back the country "France" in the zones, then change the default country in the Custom field options, change the default state still in the custom fields.
And then unpublish the France again.

Just a couple of side notes.

It was working when I first installed it, but it suddenly disappeared the next day. I did not add anything else to the site that would make it disappear other than the "products"

I really don't have a problem asking the users to type in "MI" We're a local group and the shop is only used for local membership. If I can't figure it out, I will just change it to a TEXT field.

I'm just puzzled why it disappeared.

And when saving the default value of country with France, default state with a french state, and then set again default country to US and default state to the desired one, and unpublish again the france zone doesn't work ?

When i save FRANCE as the default country, the default STATE value is not accessible

Hi,

Please edit the country custom field, select your default country and save the field.
You have to re-save the custom field in order to store the right default contry.

I just wanted to report that all is well now...the problem, as I suspected in my original post, is that I am an idiot.

:laugh:

I had actually gone through and UNPUBLISHED all of the Non US countries and states to make navigating through the menu easier, but in a fit of clicking had even unpublished EVERY state, resulting in no states being published and therefore none being available for a dropdown.

If had been more awake and clear headed when i did that, I wouldn't have had to bother you folks. Sincere thanks for putting up with my stupidity.
