Hi,

So I've checked your website.

First, from the screenshot that you sent via email, I can see that you're looking at the address form, not the registration form. Since your website is in maintenance, you're already logged in when you access the checkout, but since you didn't add yet an address, you get the address popup form to add your address.
If you don't want the popup in that case, you can actually change that with the "address selector" option of the HikaShop configuration that you can set to something else that "popup".

Regarding the 403 error when you validate the popup, that's because you didn't set a hikashop checkout type menu item in the "force menu on checkout" option of the HikaShop configuration. If you do that you should not have the problem.

Awesome Nic, thank you i've managed to get rid of the popup thing and the error seems to be ok now as i've turned off the maintenance mode, however now i'm stuck in a endless loop on the check out page.

i fill in the registration form, click next it goes to payment i put my CC details in or a coupon that gives me 100% discount and click next and it sends me back to the registration form so i start all over again...

any ideas? i'll send you the new login details for the front end on a PM so you can login and see for yourself.

cheers,
d

Hi,

Can you download again HikaShop 2.3.4 on our website via the menu My account>My subscriptions and install it on yours and let us know if that fixes the problem.

Hi,

I've checked your website again and there is something on it which tries to remove the index.php in the URLs on each page request, even though they are POST and not GET requests. Such redirect should only be done on GETs.
So either it's a SEF extension or modifications that you added in your .htaccess or something like that.
Because of that, the POST data from the checkout forms is lost during the redirect and that's why you get the loop in your case.

Was there a resolution to this issue? I am also getting the 403 error when I try to register at checkout.

I faced the same problem (403 error) because I had disabled user registration in Joomla. Hikashop registration depends on Joomla registration therefore I got the 403 error. Enabling Joomla user registration solved my issue.

I know the answer to enabling user registration is right in front of me. But, I do not know where to find it. I have seen it before. But, cannot find it. Where is the setting located?

Thank you for your help.

I found it....finally. Thank you for your help on this.

The weird thing is Joomla is set to enable user registration and I am still getting the 403 error. A screenshot of the settings is attached (because I know it is beyond belief).

So, to avoid any confusion, Joomla is set to allow users to register. But, I am getting the 403 error when I try to use the registration process. Any suggestion other than the Joomla "Allow User To Register" function?

Hi,

Could you provide a link to the shop so that we could have a look at the registration ?

Hi,

There is no registration process in your checkout ; there is a guest checkout.
I didn't have any issue to go thought the first step and create a guest account (which is not a Joomla account).
So please, explain your issue.

Hi,

I didn't have any 403 page but the test account I made is not able to login ; I got the message "You can't access the private section of this site." which is a message related to Joomla.
Having more details about the Joomla account in your side will be useful. Because it's look like there is something misconfigured in your site which block the login.
