Consumable serial a Field Type Option in CustomF

Hi Jerome,
Would it be difficult to make a consumable serial one of the Field Type options in the custom field displays? This would be extremely useful. If it can be and if I set it as as a required field then all the new data entry through the custom field entry would be linked to the customer and the product they bought. I think this would be a wonderful development and make the use of consumable serials so much broader.
What do you think?

Hi,

Yes it is possible to develop such thing but it requires a little more specifications.
Entering a serial in a custom field is one thing but it will be difficult for the custom field to consume the serial.
Otherwise, the first time it will work but afterwards, the "custom field check" will fail because the serial will already used (so not available for consume).
