Hi,

HikaSerial have a "Coupon Generator" plugin.
This plugin allow you to generate coupons with HikaSerial. The plugin requires a "template" coupon.

1 - Create an HikaShop coupon with a flat amount
demo.hikashop.com/administrator/index.ph...scount&task=edit&cid []=4

2 - Note the id of the coupon and unpublished it.

3 - Create a "Coupon Generator" entry.
demo.hikashop.com/administrator/index.ph...=edit&name=coupongen

4 - Enter the coupon id which would be use as template.
demo.hikashop.com/administrator/index.ph..._edit&generator_id=2

The generator could now create coupons which would be exact copies of the template one (same price, same dates, same quota, etc)

Hi,

After creating your coupons and the coupon generator configuration. You have to assign the coupon generator to a pack and assign the pack to a product.
Each time a product would be bought, HikaSerial would retrieve a serial from the pack and would use the generator to create new one.

www.hikashop.com/en/hikashop/107-hikaser...html#getting-started
You can check the "pack edition" part and look at the "HikaShop product interface" screenshot : www.hikashop.com/images/stories/hikaserial/shop_product_01.png

Thanks Jerome, I have problem with creating gift cards

First, I created a coupon with flat price is $2 and unpublished it.
Then I created the HikaSerial Generator plugin with the "Variable discount" is set to 100% and set "Discount coupon id" right
Next I assigned this to "Gift Certificate" pack and generate some series
Then I added this serial to 2 products here ng.onychair.com/by-category/category/88-gift-cards , that costs $25 and $100

After I've done, I tried ordering some orders ($100 and $25 orders), however sent series only cost $2, not 100% of product price. I also integrate "AttachSerial" plugin

I'm using Hikashop 2.2.0 with some custom and the latest HiakaSerial

Thanks

Hi,

I have received your email and your request though the contact form, but I prefer answer you here (not let a public message without answer even if I answer you in private).

I made some little modifications in your HikaSerial configuration.
- I assigned the pack to the product "Gitf 100". "Gift 25" was right but not this one.
- I changed the quota per user of your discount template (from "unlimited" to "1")
- I removed the "pack data - sql" from your pack because you want to generate dynamically the serial depending the product.
- I click on "refresh serials" in the backend for the two last test orders.

I suppose that you used the "generate" feature on the pack to create some coupons.
The problem was that using the "generate", you can specify with which product the serial will be created so it can't have any base for processing the variable discount price.
That's why the generated coupons were $2.

For the orders without serials, I think that HikaSerial had some troubles to assign a coupon from the list. I am currently trying to reproduce it in my local website in order to improve it and have a right assignment every time.

The serials are now right assigned and should work good for the next orders.
I recommend you to customize the HikaSerial front-end views "orderserial". You have a really really nice design and the HikaSerial part in the order does not look as beautiful as the rest.

I have a more problem. All gift cards I bought have the status "used" and after I used these gift cards, they also have the status "used", so I don't know what's the different between new gift cards and used gift cards, Although I checked configuration and see it right.

And how I convert points to get gift cards. Thanks

Hi,

In HikaSerial 1.7.4, the serial is not linked with the coupon. It means that HikaSerial can't know when you use the coupon so it can't put any information for the serial.
The serial can't be a "consume" serial, it is not used by HikaSerial, the HikaShop coupon will be used by HikaShop and have his "own life" (it could have a quota > 1).

So if you want to know if the coupon as been used, you have to take a look in the HikaShop coupons, not in the serials.

But for the next HikaSerial release, we are trying to improve that. I am not sure that we will be able to make the full feature for the next release but, I am to finish some improvements (in order to have something more understandable).

But I see in Hikaserial configuration there are many status such as: unassigned, assigned, used, deleted, free... In Hikashop coupon I see serial coupon is created have quota unlimited, how I set these coupon only 1 in default

And I'm using AlphaUserPoint to give customers points on their orders, is there a way to convert these points to get gift cards automatically, instead order gift cards and pay with point like when buying other products

Is there ability to redeem gift cards to get a balance in Hikashop?

Hi,

For HikaSerial 1.8.0, we will add "user points" plugins.
One for creating serials (with a point quantity attached) and another to use the serial in order to be credited with the points.

I need to make (basic) gift certificates for my products. I use Hikashop Business. Must I purchase Hika Seriel? After that, must I also purchase a plugin? I need step by step instructions on how to do this. I am very worried because this looks complicated.

I use product "HTML link" to my product. I am selling online courses and webinars, so I'm not selling physical products. I'm selling events. The registration form is important. Who fills out the registration form? The buyer of the gift certificate or the final gift receiver who consumes the certificate? Will this set up complicate attaching a gift certificate?

Thanks
Ivy

Hi,

We have a tutorial which explain how to start with HikaSerial and the last step explain how create a gift certificate.
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/2...serial-tutorial.html

HikaSerial is like a toolbox with several plugins (you do not need to purchase a plugin, HikaSerial includes already a lot of plugins to work correctly).
In your case I think you can create an HikaShop coupon code. It will be easier for your customer to have a 100% discount code for a single product of your store.

Attaching the gift certificate is not complicated, we also have a tutorial for the plugin "attach serial" and some sample configuration to help you to have a first working image.

This must be a silly question but its got me baffled. For a fixed price gift voucher, how do we get the value to show on the emailed voucher?

OK, I found it.
