problem with customer and order

Yesterday an order was placed on our website. We have all the information of the customer, but a strange error occured.

The order U18 does have customer with id 8. This customer has no information.
There is a customer with id 7 who has placed the order.

That would happen if you removed the login view from the "checkout workflow" option in the configuration. Could you copy/paste here your checkout workflow ?

What value do you have for the option "registration" in the tab checkout of the configuration ?

Ok. That means that you're using the normal registration mode.

Normally, it should not be possible to pass an order without create a user account.
Do you know if that person has a joomla user account int he joomla user manager ?

there was a user in the joomla user panel wich was disabled. The never signed in on that account. I think they didn't click the 'registration' link, but started the order again?

Ah yes, that's a bug we fixed in version 1.4.8:

Users who didn't click the activation link would still be accepted by hikashop (they weren't logged into joomla though) even though an error was displayed on the checkout

oke, That's why.
I updated the system. Do you sent update information e-mails to all your registered users? I did'nt recieve an e-mail with the update.

We don't. We will send a newsletter from time to time to recap what happened in the last few months but we don't send a newsletter on every release (every 2 weeks approximately).
