Shipping Cost Issue

Hi,

Since a few weeks we are live with our new hikashop. Recently we ran into a strange problem that I cannot resolve. Here is what is happening:

When you add to cart:
1 x Product A.......shipping costs are calculated correctly

When you remove Product A from the cart and then add:
1 x Product B....then shipping costs are calculated correctly again

So far so good

However, when you then empty the cart and add:
1 x Product A and also
1 x Product B
so the SAME two items .......then you get an error message "The cart items combined weight is too big for all the possible shipping methods"

It is getting even more strange when you add the following
1 x Product A and also
1 x Product B and also
1 x Product C
so the SAME two items plus a new one......then shipping costs are suddenly calculated correctly again

Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi,

It means that the system couldn't find a suitable shipping method to use. Could you do a screenshot of the listing of your manual shipping methods ?

Hi Nicholas,

We have over 1200 different shipping methods thanks to the complicated way DHL works. I can give you access to the backside again if you want.

I'll check the shipping methods first.

Hi Nicholas,

I checked the shipping methods in this specific case and they should be ok. We've noticed the same problem with other products as well. As soon as we add a second product the problem appears and when adding a third product it's ok again.

You should still have the access code to the backend, I left it open for you. If you haven't got it anymore, let me know and I will send you an email.

We don't keep track of everyone accesses and remove them once used. Please send them again via our contact form.
