Adding text to the checkout page

Nicholas,

How can I add text link to the checkout page? More specifically I am looking to add a help link next to the CVC input box.

For the CVC input, you can edit the file payment of the view checkout via the menu Display->Views.
The CVC input field is near the end of the file
