Hi!

We've set the "Maximum quantity per order" for all our products for 1. But if a user tries to add the same product another time to the cart he get's the message "Product successfully added to the cart". Is there a possibility to advice the user, that this product is already in his cart?

Best regards

It's not easy to do. That's why it's like that :)
We'll see what we can do for next release.

Has something changed/improved concerning this problem in the new version 1.5.3?

Yes, you should have a message saying that the quantity limit has been reached.

I just updated to 1.5.3 but I don't see this message. When and where should this message appear?

You should turn off the ajax add to cart option in the checkout tab of the configuration. The message should appear on the page after adding a product to the cart.

I just tried again on our end and turning off the option "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" solves the problem.
The only other thing I can think of it that you edited the file show of the view product before updating and thus you don't have the modification of that view in order to handle that option which is just ignored. Please check on that.

I deleted the customized view "show", now I see the warning message.

Why isn't it possible, that this message appears in the pop up window?

It's not that it's not possible. That's just the way we did it.

Then let's rephrase this: it would be nice to use the pop-up window AND see this warning message ;)

We'll put that on the todo list but it's not really a priority for now.

Hello, following this topic, it is possible to make a warning when the user tries to add a product when the car is already full.

Thank you very much Nicolas

Hi,

If you have the "add to cart legacy" setting turned off and the HikaShop cart notify plugin enabled, then you should get the exact error message when a product couldn't be added to the cart for some reason.

Hi thanks.
Now the warning comes out correctly, but instead I can not redirect the car, once the product has been added.
Thank you

Hi,

Ah yes, with the plugin activated, then there is no automatic redirect to the checkout.
There is no way to have both right now. But that's a good idea.
We'll add an option to the cart notification plugin so that you can have both with the next release of HikaShop.
