Shopping cart without payment and shipping

Hi HikaShop experts,

I will be developing a Joomla website with a shopping cart integrated with it.

What my client needs is - products to be displayed as in a normal shopping site. They will not have any price listed though.
If a user likes and wants to buy the product he clicks on the Order button.
The next page will have to collect information like quantity and the users contact details. On submission this information is mailed to the backoffice.

Is there any way this can be achieved with Hikashop?
Most carts I checked come with shipping/pricing/payment all included.

Kindly let me know if HikaShop will allow me to do this. This is my first shopping site project and as such I am not aware of all features of major carts.

Hi Nicolas,

I tried the method that you had suggested.
When I try to register a new user, I get the message - Could not instantiate mail function.
However the details are added onto the Customer tab.

Any pointers on why this could be happening.

I know this is an old thread. I'm having the same problem. I want the shopping part. But I dont wont any shipping or payment on the checkout. Our customers should only have the ability to order, and pay via a bank transfer. After that we send the order to them.

Is this only possible if all product are set to free?

I tried to remove the shipping and payments from the configuration, but that made the checkout crash, and gives me a white page.

Do I have to make all the product with a price free?

And also you write

Also, on the Display tab of the configuration, turn on the option "Display 'add to cart' button for free products".

Where can i find that

I only want the customers to put product in the cart, and they can then send the order to us. When we then get the payment on bank transfer we ship the order to them.

Do you have a manual on how to do that, a step by step guidance.

It is working now. I think it was the server that was i little bit to slow to know that I have removed something. So now it is working.

Sorry to repeat the same question - I also just want the order to be placed without any shipping or payment method. Once the order is placed we just need an order summary emailed to the user and admin. The customer will deposit the money in the bank later on.

Can you please describe how to remove Shipping and payment from checkout flow ?

I also want to add all the customers manually from the backend and then email them the login details and I want to give the discount to some customers in percentage like User-A will receive 5% flat discount on all of the products and I want the discount to be applied automatically during checkout without any coupon or manual action, is it also possible ?
