per item shipping options

Hi
I have a client who sells and ships large items, each of which can have up to three of the following delivery options, (Not Applicable / Price on asking / Charged / Free with installation / Customer collect no charge ) which means that the manual shipping method at checkout is not practical. I've attached a file which shows further, but shipping options and cost needs to be applied to each individual item. How do I do this.

Hi,

In your case, I wouldn't use shipping methods at all. Instead, I would use characteristics or options of products to handle the selection of the shipping method for each product of the order.That will allow you to charge more when needed based on the selection of the user and you will be able to easily remove the choices you don't want for some of the products.
