Could you give a link to that page and do screenshots of the filter and menu options so that we can better understand the problem ?

Hi,

You should edit the products listing modules associated to your menus (there is a link to it on the options screen of your menus) and set the "sub elements filter" option to "all sub elements" so that by default, you see all the products and that when a filter is selected, you only see the relevant ones.

Hi,

Thank you for the access your provided via our contact form.

Thanks to that, we were able to easily reproduce the problem on our end and we found out that there was a bug with filters on manufacturers listings.
We fixed that and validated the fix on your website.
It's working now on your website.
We updated the 1.5.6 package on our website with the modifications so if you want to install it on another website, you can just download again the package from our website.

forgive me for my comment. I was just trying to cheer you up. I now how frustrating it is if you want to do something and it cant just be done. Especially when on top a customer is looking over your shoulder for the progress you make!

If you check my first post, I mentioned all this, but I think I made myself not clear enough, so I got no help and dropped until today the use of the filters. In fact I deleted all my filter setups to make sure they do not interfere with the rest of my work.

I am happy the team looked up in your site and saw they bug. I am going to download the latest version and will start trying the setup of the filters again.

Hope you are happy, now that it seems it is working. (i haven’t seen it working yet but I trust the developer team :-))

sorry again if I got you in a dificoult moment

Hi,

@nicolas - thanks for the fix (that bug really give me headaches :P). i think now is just a question to edit some css (in the last case some html) to make it look a little bit more like a menu (into the layout of my client). hopefully i cant finish this seti until monday :D

btw, any chance to just show the filters on the left side (and hide or disable the filte showed in the main component?)

And any chance to the filter module just show the category name if the selected manufacturer have a product inside that category?

@uteco - dont worry ;) man!

To hide the filters on the main area, you will be able to do that by adding such CSS line (replace the X by the id of your menu) in the front end CSS file that you can edit via the Display tab of the configuration:
#hikashop_category_information_menu_X .hikashop_subcategories{ display:none; }

You can do that by turning on the "dynamic" option of your filters.
