Hello,

So far I am really enjoying the HikaShop environment but I have some confusion.

I made a main menu as per the tutorial with no problem.

I am trying to make a side menu as the one in the demo page but I have no success. First I created Hika category module as per the tutorial no problem there. Next I created a menu item called "left side menu", I called that menu fish and it's menu type is : Hika, Categories listing (category type: list, # of columns +1, Item=30 associated category=product category, associated moduels= Hika Categories (the hika product module that I made).

When I go to the home page and refresh, ( www.bigpetestf.com ) the side menu lists one entry "fish" and not the list of categories.

How do I fix this???

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to create a menu. It's the module which should be displayed there instead of that menu.
Please make sure that your module is set to be displayed in that position of your template and that it is published. Also, you can compare its hikashop options with the hikashop options of the module on our demo website:

Nicolas,

Thank you very, very much. I was not was of the demo page backend access. That is very useful. Thanks to you and the that website I have fixed the main menu item, improved my slider, added a pair of great components and modules.

I also have the "CATEGORIES OF PRODUCTS" prominently displayed where I want it. For now the category items show ( javascript:void(0) ). but I will continue to work on it till I get it. I added module , "CATEGORIES OF PRODUCTS" (mine is called "Our Fish" to mimic the main menu item. I also added content menu item "Category listing module", because I noticed it you "CATEGORIES OF PRODUCTS". The menu appears on every page but when you click on the individual category I get javascript:void(0).

I will continue to work on this.

Thank you again for your outstanding support,

Peter

Nicolas,

I don't know what I the difference is, but the issue is solved. I followed the tutorial instructions for module of product and added it with the one from your demo site and the new one worked so I deleted the original one. The rest is easy formatting issues on my end.

Thanks again,

Peter
