hello,

This problem concerns the use of custom fields,
In the documentation it is clear that it is possible to change the membership table a custom field during the creation of it, but the field remains is locked to adress table, and can not be changed, how to tie the field products, or even a group of specific product?

Another question, if it is possible to change the table, you is it possible that the field appears as a variant, and is included in the price of the product?
Variants are a list of possibilities, off I need a text input to enter a number that increases the price proportionally

cordially,

Simon Perigault

Hi,

Once you created a custom field, you can change the table setting. You can only delete the custom field and recreate one with the same name for another table.

You need to create custom fields of the table "product" (to add info to products in the back end) or the table "item" (so that users can add info to products of their order on the front end). After saving them, you will see a category listing on the right area of the edition screen of the custom field where you will be able to add categories where these custom fields will apply. Products not in these categories won't have the custom fields.
If you want to add a custom field to a specific product, create an unpublished category, add it to your product as a second category and in your custom field.

Custom fields cannot automatically change the price of products. That can only be done with variants and options. If you want to do that, that would require the development of a custom plugin.
