URL where to redirect when the cart is empty

Joomla 1.6

I have a Checkout menu item which points to the Hikashop checkout at .../index.php/shop/checkout.

I wanted to use the config / display / cart empty redirect feature to display my top-level shop menu item at .../index.php/shop.

Tried entering index.php/shop and various other combinations to achieve this but just got redirected to invalid URLs.

Then discovered that a single dot . would do the trick and give me what I wanted.

Would it be easier to have a Redirect to menu item when basket empty option instead?

We really wanted to give full latitude to the user on that so that they could even redirect to another website if they wish.
If you want to be sure that it will work, you can just enter the full URL with http://. If you want to enter only the part after the domain name and that you have SEF activated on your domain, you should enter the non SEFed URL like for example: index.php?option=com_content&view=something&task=something&id=1

hello, after the card process finished i want that the last page to be redirected to the form that comes on e-mail, without images just that simple form (last step"thank you for your purchase")

Hi,

You have to configure your payment plugin and configure a "return url".
So your customers would be redirect to this return url after the purchase.
