This height there is generated using a menu/module option and can be changed in the options of the menu/module used to display the listing.
If you really want to completely remove the CSS, you can go to Display->views and search for listing_img. There are several of them and the one you need to edit will depend of the item layout option you set in the menu/module options.

I deleted all the heights from all of my menu modules in Hikashop but it collapsed everything overtop of each other. There needs to be a height there for the container of the product. What I want to remove is the height that separates the price and title from the box. Essentially I want the text below the products to be aligned with the bottom of the pics in the product columns. When I deleted the height:160px from Firebug it collapsed the way i want. So now I just need to find that template file in Hikashop. I looked around at the views you suggested and tried removing the height from 2 files that I found it in but it didn't work. I looked at my joomla cache to see if there was anything to clear but there wasn't anything. Not sure what to do next.

You should not remove the height in the options. I just said you could change it.

Please put it back the way it was. You should really go to Display->views and search for listing_img. There are several of them and the one you need to edit will depend of the item layout option you set in the menu/module options. There should be more than two files. Based on what you're saying the file you seems to be using is "listing_img_title" so edit this one for the view product.

I also have a problem trying to change the inline style height setting. In the Hikashop help here , under DIV options there is an "Item box height" parameter that looks as though it shoould fix the problem - however this box is not present in the current version of Hikashop.

Any help on where else to change this setting would be appreciated.

Hi,

We indeed removed this parameter as it is not needed anymore. I just updated the documentation. The boxes DIVs weight is now calculated automatically by the browser upon display and can be forced by using CSS.
Normally, you should not have the height forced in inline CSS unless you updated from an old version which had that option. In that case, you should delete the module/menu and create a new one. That will create new options without the height forced.
