Trouble delivering emails to gmail addresses

Hello! I have finally gone online!
here is a problem
i have tested my shop and found out that users who have gmail addresses do not get any notification emails about their orders.
though everything worked fine when i tested the site around two weeks ago, and i have hardly changed anything.

please help me out, this is so important.

P.S. though general joomla emails, when using retrieve password function are delivered just fine to gmail email addresses

Hi,

I think that you'll find your answer there :

The confirmation email is sent by joomla and your email server.
If you don't get it it's either because:

the email is in your spam box
the email is blocked by your email server (it can come from the encoding the server is using which is different than the one configured for emails in the configuration of HikaShop)
the email settings are not correct in the joomla configuration

For the last two possibilities, you should check the email settings (of joomla or hikashop) with your hosting company.

Tha thing is that a confirmation email during registration is sent and delivered to the user as it should.

But when it comes to order notification or order status change notification the emails are not delivered to any users that have email accounts with google mail. For users with other email providers everything is ok.

So it is very strange because hikashop takes email sending parameters from joomla if i understand it correctly.

That is not a problem of HikaShop but a problem of email delivery. You should contact your hosting company which is handling your email server so that they can look at the logs of the email server and tell you why your emails are not delivered to gmail addresses.

The only difference between the registration emails and the order notification emails is that the order notification emails are HTML emails. So it is potentially possible that a specific setting needs to be changed in the email tab of the hikashop configuration based on the recommendations of your hosting company for sending HTML emails.
