[SOLVED] Number appended - File Upload

Hi,

While uploading a file, say some "xxx.doc"; an underscore and a number is being appended automatically after the upload that it looks like some "xxx_1234.doc".

Please find the attached screenshot.

What could be the problem?

Hi,

It means that the file "xxx.doc" already exists.
HikaShop does not overwrite existing files so it appends a random number in order to have a non existing filename.

I did not noticed that till now. Will check that?

But I've edited the uploaded file name by removing the underscore and number manually and saved it.

Will there be any problem?

Hi,

It would use the other file.
And if the file is too old (not the right "version"), you can manually update it using FTP.
In the same time, you could remove the "xxx_1234.doc" which is no more used :)

Hello Jerome,

I've a problem again regarding the file download which is not free. Rest of the files which are free are working fine that I'm able to download it.

I'm getting a INVALID_FILE_NUMBER error when I tried to download the file. I've tried deleting all the similar files from the folder location and uploaded again but showing the same error.

This is happening after the updation of the HikaSerial and HikaShop.

Yes, that has been corrected now on our end. Please download and update again HikaShop and it will work.

Okay. Thanks. Now it is working fine.

Is there any other things which are needed to be checked as we've already uploaded more than 100 products and we are on the verge to make the website public and start promoting?

We had other issues reported in the last few days, so I would recommend to download again and update HikaShop a last time.
All the bugs that were reported until today have been fixed so you should then be good to go.
