Only one product has shipping price

Hi, I am using Hikashop Business.

For my client, all products are priced including tax & standard shipping. But I also have the option within Ireland & UK to choose Courier shipping of e.g. €5.
So customer in Ireland or UK buys a product for €25 and they get option to have free standard shipping or Courier for €5 extra. I have two shipping methods to achieve this

However, for Rest of World, only standard shipping is valid and it's free so another shipping method for this:

All that works perfectly, but my client has ONE very unusual scenario. For a single product (not sure why) he has to charge €3 for shipping to Rest of World. I thought I could just add another shipping method for this charge:

But when the customer from ROW zone checks out he can select EITHER free or charged shipping - of course he will pick free but I need to force a charge for this product only. Is there a way to do this? I cannot see anything in the product screen to help with this scenario.

All suggestions gratefully received! Because apart from this very strange requirement I am finding Hikashop so very easy to setup!!
Thanks :)

Hi,

You can set minimum and maximum weight in your shipping method configurations to restrict the charged shipping method to the product if it has a weight over, for example, 100kg.
Or do this restriction with the volume.

Hi Xavier

Ok, so I made some changes as follows:

I set this product to have weight = 100kg (i.e. a weight that no product actually has).

Then I set the Minimum AND Maximum weight in shipping method "Standard Shipping (ROW)" as 100kg.

I used a shipping address in USA (that is ROW for me).
User still allowed to select either Free or Charged shipping even though the product should restrict to Standard Shipping ROW based on weight.

So I must be missing something else? Or am I setting the weights wrong? Or the methods wrong?
Did I misunderstand what you were trying to tell me?

thanks
Niamh

Oh I just figured it out!!!
Shipping method Free to ROW is upto 99.99kg; Shipping method Standard to ROW is minimum 100kg (no max).
Took me a while to think it through but I'm good now :)
Thanks for the pointers
