Hi,
i'd like to know if there is a way to put a link on my site (frontend) where my customers can download the updated products catalog.
Is there it?

Hi,

I think you can do it by a Joomla article or within a description or a free download file for a product.
It would depends on where to want to put this file.

I'd like just a direct link of the catalouge file.
Some users would like to have an updated file of all the products, with the situation of the stock, without ask me everytime.

It does not matter to me.
I'd like to give the link to my users by e-mail.
But if it is necessary publish it on the site, for me is good as an article of joomla and as a free product in hikashop.
You can choose the simplest way.
But for me is important to have a file automatically updated

Hi,

I still don't understand your request.
A catalog file is a file. So I don't see how it can be updated automatically because you should generate it.
There is "catalog file generation" in HikaShop if that is your question.

I'm sorry if I can not explain.
I intend to do something like Google merchant.
The customer should be able to discharge the catalog with products and updated availability every time he wants.

Hi,

There is no such option in HikaShop.
You should do it using custom development, exporting your products into a specific processed file.

Thank you.
So I can create the catalog file and insert it manually as a free product.
But every time I update the url of the file product changes. How can I do to no change the url?
If it is possible I would not use the via FTP because it is too laborious.

Hi,

In what is it a problem ? If you create a link to the product page, then the link displayed to the customers will always be the link to the file, even if the path change.
Else you can use a custom link in Joomla pointing to your file, and upload this file via the Joomla media manager in the folder wanted.
