Getting product display left part and right part

I'm trying to set up my product page with the main image on the left (bigger than the default - around 350px square) with the product price and options and the add to cart button on the right of the image. The description is underneath the left/right part (in bottom part - that's OK). However, I can't get the right part of the page to display - everything ends up underneath the main image and thumbnails (see attached snapshot). I set the product page image width and height to 350 in the configuration files page. I've tried tweaking the width % of the left part in the CSS but I haven't yet found what works. How can I set my image and product options/add to cart to sit side by side please?

You have to change the width of the left part and the right part to be smaller than the entire width.
Look if there is one element more larger, reduce its width.

Thanks, Xavier. The default file didn't have widths specified. I had tried 50% each but I see now it has to be less than 100% total.

I've now got the parts showing correctly for a large screen but when I change to a mobile device screen size the main product image is not resizing so it's overlapping the price and options.

Try to use the min-width property.

Sorry, not sure what that means, Xavier. If I put min-width instead of width it makes the right part go below the image again. I just want the left part/main image to be responsive like the rest of the site.

I'll ask a separate question because it's not just here, it's all of my images not resizing in responsive views.
