Upgrading Hikashop: Full vs. Upgrade Versions

If I bought the FULL version of Hikashop Business, can I install it over Hikashop Essential without problems or do I have to buy the UPGRADE version of Hikashop Business? I want to avoid any problems before doing installation as my site is working great now!

Hi,

The product "upgrade from essential" will change your current "hikashop essential" license to a "hikashop business" license.
If you buy a HikaShop business license, you would have two licenses. One for the essential and one for the business.
So I recommend you to buy the upgrade, the price of this upgrade is the difference between the essential and the business versions.

It was like you bought hikashop business and you would have the same package.

After that, upgrading HikaShop is like update HikaShop. You wouldn't loose your configuration/products/overrides/etc.

Thank you for the quick response.

I just spoke with my co-worker and I was a little off on my understanding...

We actually have 2 clients. Our first client site with Hikashop Essential is complete.

Our second client site has VirtueMart installed. :whistle: Which we will uninstall.

In this case, I would guess I should just by the FULL version of Hikashop Business, so we have two licenses, or can I still just take the upgrade path with our current version of Hikashop Essential to Business?

Hi,

If you do the upgrade of the Essential version to the Business version, you would have just one business license so the first website couldn't use the auto-update anymore.
