Custom Fields

In the business edition, how do you assign different custom fields to different specific products?

Example: Product "A" needs Custom field "what date?"
Product "B" need Custom field "what time?"

However product "B" does NOT need the field "what date". Product "B" only need custom field "what time?".


I thought by placing product A and B in two separate categories then when making a new custom field choosing the category would do this but it does not seem to help. Thank you in advance.

This was not working because of my early upgrade to 2.0. I re-installed (even though my system said up to date) and now it works by simply assigning the category.
