Separate Cart from Checkout

How do I display only the cart? Because I want to divide the shopping experience into two pages:

1) Cart displayed by itself, with a "Proceed to checkout" button. Click the button and...
2) Checkout page (no cart on this page)

You can change the checkout workflow option of the configuration for that.
