Select variants on product page issue

There's an issue with variant products. here it goes.
imagine i have a main product and it has two variants.

variant 1 => color: blue | size: 4.5
variant 2 => color: red | size: 5

in product page, I use dropdown to display characteristics and I want if the color is 'blue' the only option available for size be 4.5, or option with value 5 become disabled somehow. because we don't have a variant with color: blue & size: 5. by default it shows the main product specifications.

so how to do that?

Hi,

The dropdowns are not dynamic. However, if you select an unavailable variant, you can't purchase it.
What you can do is to change the characteristics display method to either list or table and the way it displays won't have that behavior.

Now you can load the Product varaint dynamically based on the color 's size available.
