Hi Team

I wanted to submit a feature request regarding the affiliate panel interface.

Currently, the default Hikashop affiliate panel (with all due respect) looks basic, and lacks visual engagement for affiliates.

To make the Hika affiliate program much more professional and attractive to partners, would it be possible to consider a modern redesign inspired by dedicated affiliate platforms a little similar (just to take one random example) this one please? of course not with all those features but with a similar organization.

A revamped, feature-rich affiliate dashboard could include:

1) Quick-glance cards at the top for key performance indicators such as clicks, total commissions, impressions, and conversion statistics over customizable time periods (e.g., the last 30 days).

2) Built-in graphical representations of transaction trends, payouts, and click histories so affiliates can easily track their performance over time.

3) Cleaner separation of direct link tools, and promotional banners to provide a polished professional user experience.

Upgrading the affiliate interface would bring immense value to store owners looking to scale their referral and affiliate marketing efforts directly within HikaShop.

Hi,

We've worked on several big things for the next release. I would like to release soon. Unfortunately, I'm still travelling until the end of this month, and publishing a newk, big release while I'm not available much is not something I want to do. So it will be at the beginning of September. The first week, if all goes according to plans.

Hi Nicolas,

I noticed by chance the new update in the changelog and wanted to thank you for it.

As a heads-up, neither the Joomla extensions page nor the HikaShop check for updates "check now" button notified me about the new HikaShop 6.6.0 version.

Additionally, after installing the update on a staging site, and activating the affiliate program for a user I encountered the following error:

1054 Unknown column 'hk_click.click_banner_id' in 'ON'

Note the problem is visible only if you login as a user

Hi,

Thanks for the report, and no worries about the update notification: 6.6.0 is not offered to everyone yet on purpose, we wait for the first feedback like yours before opening it to all the sites.

The error was a real bug on our side and you found it. Your files are 6.6.0 but the structure of your database is still the 6.5.2 one, and click_banner_id, the column the new affiliate dashboard uses to tell you which banner brought each click, was never added. Two other 6.6.0 additions are missing on your site for the same reason: the price per unit of the products and two indexes used by the affiliate listings.

The cause is that an update brings the tables up to date through a check which runs when the installer loads HikaShop, and on a site where another extension has already loaded HikaShop earlier in the same request, that step was silently skipped. Everything else went through, which is why HikaShop reports 6.6.0.

One click fixes your site: open the HikaShop configuration in the back end and press the "Check database" button in the toolbar. It adds the missing columns and the affiliate page works again.

We have corrected it in the 6.6.0 package itself, since almost nobody has updated yet: the check now also runs when HikaShop was already loaded, and the new columns are added by the update in any case, so installing the package again is enough for a site already in that state.

That worked perfectly, thank you.

The improvement was amazing, the affiliate page now looks much more professional... I do still have a couple of pieces of feedback for you to consider if you like:

1. The "main information" (see attachment) currently appears in the middle of the page. It should ideally be located in the "profile" or "account" section, or at least at the bottom of the page.

2. Based on my experience with affiliation, some people prefer to be paid also via bank transfer. When they sign up, they should have the option to select "bank transfer" and add their IBAN too.

This is just as an extra feedback... we already very happy with the improvements. Please don't worry if you do not have time to make further changes.

Hi Luca,

Thanks for coming back with this, and glad the "Check database" button sorted your site.

1. Agreed, and done. The account block sat between "how am I doing" and "what do I promote with", which is the wrong place for a form filled once, so it now closes the page, under the link tools and the banners. A partner who has not activated the program yet still finds it at the top, since nothing else is displayed to them until then. It is in the 6.6.0 package, so downloading it again from your member area and installing it is enough to get it.

2. Payments by bank transfer already work today. The payout is made from the back end on the user page of the affiliate, and it only goes through a payment plugin if you pick one there, so a shop paying by transfer simply records the payment. What is missing is a place for your affiliate to give you their details, and you can add it yourself with a custom field.

Go to HikaShop > Display > Custom fields, create a new field on the table "user", set "Display in the frontend" to yes, and give it the name you want, for example IBAN. Add a second one as a dropdown if you want your affiliates to choose between PayPal and bank transfer, and a third for the BIC if your affiliates' countries need it. Your affiliates then fill them on the details page of their account, and you see the values on their user in your back end when it is time to pay them.

That way you ask for exactly the payment information your affiliates' countries require, rather than the one set of bank fields we would have to choose for everybody.
