Double "cart" problem

Refer to website www.tangyweb.com.au

When I add a product to cart, the popup comes up and I can select "proceed to checkout" and it works great...

However if I click "view cart" in the top menu and THEN proceed to checkout it shows 2 "carts" next to each other.

I assume it's because in example 2 I am already in the "view cart" page when I proceed to checkout but is there a way to stop the "view cart" cart from showing, or is there a better way to do this which I could consider?

Hi,

I guess you create a menu "id 15" where you put the cart module.
And in your checkout workflow there is the cart too.

If you open the checkout with the menu id 15, you will see a "double cart" but it's logical because it's confirmed like that.

Please create a menu only for the checkout and use configure the option "force checkout menu" to use this new "checkout" menu.

Hi, I made the menu item and hid the "proceed to checkout" button on the "view cart" page.

I wasn't quite sure what the "force checkout" option does exactly?

Hi,

I think that the solution will be to :
1.
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->'Checkout'"
- Use the "Force a menu on the checkout" option to one of your menu

2.
- Go to your HikaShop Cart Module through your Joomla module manager page
- Set the "Module Assignment" option to Only on the pages selected
- Un-check the menu that your have set through the "Force a menu on the checkout" option.

Thanks I understand your instructions, but can you explain what this will fix, or what exactly it will do to the checkout process please?

Sure,

Force a menu on the checkout : You can set here a specific menu where your users will be redirected when displaying the checkout page. That allows you to display different modules/templates on the checkout than on the rest of the shop. If you don't set it, the user will keep all the modules and templates of the rest of the store when displaying the checkout page.

As it's said on the documentation, the "Force a menu on the checkout" option will enable you to redirect your customer to your menu page, and display your checkout process. Then you'll be able to restrict the display of your Joomla module regarding the menu.
